Metal meshes and mesh mats can create an exciting and a unique façade for a building. In addition to giving a modern and stylish impression, they are very durable. Because of their ability to be shaped they can be used on a variety of different buildings. Together with architects we have carried out many façade projects.
Façade expanded metal
Expanded metal mesh is made through a process of cutting and stretching metal sheets. Tammet’s expanded metal is a durable, easily-shaped, and stylish multi-purpose mesh. Expanded metal is made with a variety of mesh sizes, feeds, and material strengths.
Expanded metal can be manufactured from black steel, stainless or acid proof steel, brass, copper, or zinc-coated steel. Expanded metal creates an exciting rasterised surface to façades and are weather proof. They can also be powder coated according to the RAL colour chart or be hot-dip galvanised.
Woven Art & Design façade mesh
Tammet’s woven meshes are special products made from metal wire. The wires used in these meshes are pressed before being weaved into a mesh, giving a beautiful appearance to the wires in the mesh.
The structure of the mesh gives the product rigidity and malleability. Woven meshes give the building a stylish look, in cases when both functionality and aesthetics are important criteria. The product line for woven meshes is particularly designed to give architects and designers new opportunities. The selection of wire styles and aperture sizes in the mesh is wide, thus regardless of use a suitable style can be found.
Woven meshes are usually made of steel wires that are uncoated, galvanised, stainless or acid proof. Special order meshes are also made of brass wire.
